Product Update Release 3

August 1st, 2013 - The Stalin Digital Archive development team is proud to announce some important new features that will enhance both basic and advanced use of this valuable resource.

Key benefits include:

  • Private groups allow both local and remote SDA users to collaborate on document selection, annotations, tagging and discussions.
  • Multi-Doc Viewer allows users to easily compare two texts from the same window.
  • Website improvements including improved News & Updates and Notifications pages, the addition of a Cyrillic keyboard that can be accessed from the header on every page and more!

Private Groups Features

Private Groups – In addition to public Research Interests, the SDA now offers Private Groups. Private Groups allow groups of SDA users to share and collaborate in a closed environment, yet they are accessible to users across the globe. Any user can create a private group; invite other SDA users to join the group; and share documents, tags, annotations, and discussions with other members of that group.

MySDA menu with Private Groups Links – Users can access Private Groups Discussions, Private Groups Folders, and Private Groups Pages via the MySDA menu

Private Groups Discussions - Private Group members can have discussions within their group without others being able to view their work. Private discussions can be a great way to work with students in a classroom environment.
